I really liked the hotel location, because it is in the city center!! And the room was so cosy! Also i liked the thing that we could feel really relaxed and free there.

I cant say anything bad, because i really liked it!!

Hostal Tineo was a great deal for a very basic room in a fantastic location. The staff were helpful and it really was close to where all the Madrid action is!

Like most places in Spain, if you're located near bars and restaurants, it's going to be noisy at night. It didn't keep us awake, but if you're sensitive to noise it might be a good idea to bring earplugs.

Staff member were very helpful, knowlegable, and spoke perfect English. They were very friendly and eager to help. Also it had an amazing breakfast!

The elevator was broken during our stay which made going to our room difficult since we were on the 4th floor and the area has alot of stairs already. But the staff was very nice and started letting guest use their personal elevator.

location is fantastic, right in the centre of madrid. the rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are comfy. no internet is a pain but there's a really cheap internet cafe just around the corner so it's not so bad.

not really much too complain about for the price you're paying.

Awesome location and the breakfast that comes with the room booking is fine. It was perfect for my brother and I on our Eurotrip.

Staff didnt speak English, so brush up on your Spanish! But we still got by with the little Spanish we knew. Salsa club below the rooms, can be loud for those who have slept in peace and quite their whole lives, but if you have lived in a place before where there has been a busy road outside or something, its fine.

In the city center and near to the metro station.Good relation quality/price. Room were cleaned.

Under the hotel there are pubs and discos opened till late in the night so if you think to sleep like a babe it's not the place for you. If you want to enjoy Madrid movida it's good. For me it was fine.

Really great location - 1 minute from Puerta del Sol!! Very cozy atmosphere, friendly staff; rooms have all necessary things. Cleaning has been done every day. Overall I would recommend this hostal without any doubt. :)

If you are an admirer of calm, it might be a bit difficult for you to sleep with noise from nearest streets. ))) But I think it is not a defect of the hostal. )))

The hostel was very cosy and clean, especially the bathroom, which was cleaned daily. They change towels and make your bed each day, as well. We were very positively suprised.Nice and friendly staff.

The only disadventage is noise. the walls are very thin so you can hear all your neighbours...especially, when they are taking shower...the fan works terribly loud. Except from the inside, there is noise from the outside, which is even more annoying. But this is the price you must to pay wishing to stay in the very centre.

The location was excellent and even though we were in the centre of the party with lots of noise outside, if you shut the window (which is double glazing) you can sleep like a baby: no noise at all. Also, the air-conditioned is a bliss.

Sometimes, you can hear the neighbours going inside their rooms - but it happen like 2-3 times in the entire week.

good location, clean room, we stayed just for 2 nights, the other day they cleaned the room and changed the towels. Plus we had breakfast.

a bit scary building, no direction boards - first feeling

very cusy small hambel hotel, the A/C is good but no remote, only on or off. very clean very good location with some noise downstairs all tv channels in Spanish, no lobby no entrance very ideal for bed & shower place, breackfast in the near bar with only coffee and one coruasune and finally the staff speak only spanish.

Great value for the price, but don't expect a duluxe hotel - it's a floor of rooms, pretty recently renovated - paint is not even thinking of peeling yet & everything works, and they even throw in the shampoo and shower gel :-) Great location, but you're above pedestrian streets full of bars and the associated noise you'd expect in any city center in Spain.

The location is really good: a street with lots of bars and restaurants in the city center; you don't need to use public transport (but if you want to, metro is really closed to the hotel). Rooms and bathroom are clean and renovated.

The only defect was maybe the noise from bars in the street by night, but I think it also conveys the typical spanish athmosphere of enjoying life!

Excellent position closed to the puerta del Sol.

A disco is under the hostal, and a lot of noise from 12 pm to 6 am.
